First Impressions - Gotham: "Under the Knife"

This is by no means a deeply intense dissection of the episode.
It's just my quick comments and notes after seeing the episode only once (a la AoS).
Spoilers after the jump.
You've been warned...

Episode 20: "Under the Knife"
The Good:
This guy. Right. Here.
Eddie Nygma has stolen the show. From stabbing the watermelon to stabbing that bastard, Nygma was AWESOME! His nervous laughter resulting from the shock and awe at what he'd done was even a little reminiscent of Frank Gorshin. I can't wait to see where that goes.

 Carol Kane's back? She's unbreakable!
 sorry...

Selina getting those packages for the ball.
I don'r remember her actually saying she'd go to the ball with him, but I might have missed it. As for the "special delivery for Ms. Kyle"? That was funny...
...Barbara's reaction? Priceless.

The Bad:
Seeing Oswald fighting with Maroni in front of his mother was awkward enough, but watching him lie to her afterwards was just sad. Why would he lie to her? Breaking his mother's heart rather than explain to her what it takes to be a nightclub owner in Gotham?
I know Jean-Luc...I know...
And when he killed the delivery guy, I kinda felt sorry for him. Oswald, not the victim.

Alfred giving Bruce s#!t about going to the ball with Selina.
I'm used to the "butler banter" when Bruce is an adult, but here it makes Alfred...kind of an ass. He gave the kid a break by staying "with the car", so points to him for that, but Bruce saw his parents killed and is having a really rough go of it at the moment. Ease up a little Alfie.

The WTF?:
Using the press to call Ogre out?
That was a ballsy move, but one I don't understand. It never occurred to him (at the time) that Ogre would go after Barbara? Speaking of which...
...I actually forgot she was back in Gotham.
Then I remembered that awkward scene where she talked to Selena about dresses and using her sexuality and stuff. That was just creepy weird.

Okay Leslie, we gotta talk:
A) Don't ever take a bath in Gotham.
B) If you must take a bath in Gotham, have a goddamn gun within reach!
C) Even if you take a bath in Gotham, and you don't have a gun nearby, couldn't you have some clothes in there with you?
D) If you get out of the bath, and don't have a gun, and are forced to walk around your apartment in a towel because you left your clothes somewhere else, and you have a knife in your hand, do NOT put the knife down. Not on the bed. Not anywhere. Even if it's just a cat.

You're in Gotham. I know you know how to fight, but you're in Gotham. Stick with A).

The dress she wore to the ball. Wasn't it a little too...poofy?

Seeing him go after Barbara - twice - was odd to say the least.
But that scene at the end was very Grey. As in over the top Shady.

Adorkification Moment:
Daniel Davis!
At first I remembered him from Star Trek:TNG when he played Moriarty, but then I remembered he was also in The Nanny. And as for his long-deceased employer...
...she was van Groot?
Right? Am I right?
(sigh...)
