First Impressions - Gotham: "All Happy Families Are Alike"

This is by no means a deeply intense dissection of the episode.
It's just my quick comments and notes after seeing the episode only once (a la AoS).
Spoilers after the jump.
You've been warned...

Episode 22: "All Happy Families Are Alike"
The Good:
Fish returns, looking like she's crossing the River Styx.
Mrs. Adorkification loves this character, but I couldn't understand her existence...
...until we see what she did with Cat.
Maybe the plan is to train Cat in a similar way she trained that young woman to "befriend" Falcone? Someone to push Cat juuust over the edge.
Yeah. Kinda like that.

But tell me she doesn't look like Michelle Pfeifer! Double dog dare ya!

Maroni goes down!

Poor Butch!
I really felt for him as he was pointing the gun at both Fish and Penguin...and I was half expecting him to shoot himself...but his solution worked too.

"Mr. Wayne never went out gallivanting."

Penguin with a gun + using it = scary s#!t.

+
This relationship is really cool. I hope we get to see more of it next season.

Aaaand his riddle bites him in the a$$.
Question: Why would someone as clever as Nygma leave enough clues to always get caught by Batman?
Answer: This episode. And it couldn't have been done any better.

Funny. As. F**K!

The Bad:
Really? Fish going over the side?

She's alive.
We probably won't see her until midway through Season 2,
but she's alive.

This was just wrong.
Why the hell would Lee agree to this? She knows Barbara and Gordon have history. She knows Barbara's gone through an ordeal. She knows Barbara's unstable - she's the one who convinced Barbara to see someone.
Why'd she agree to this?
And then be surprised when Barbara tries to kill her?
And doesn't she have a gun?

The WTF?:
Bruce...buddy...if you're going to search your father's study for secrets. START WITH THE DESK!
Why the hell would you start looking for clues in the top shelf of the left side of the bookshelf? You need a ladder to get there in the first place, and in the second - why would anyone hide something they'd need to hide quickly in a place that is so incredibly inconvenient to get to?
I think you need to watch more detective shows.

When he was standing...ON THE LEDGE...
(sigh...)
...why didn't Butch just push him over?

Where was her scar?
I know the cut wasn't that deep, but still...blood flowed last episode. And I really don't think that much time passed between that episode and this one.

Why would Penguin tell Falcone his plan?
That just screams that 1) Falcone's gonna live, and 2) Penguin's plan won't work. That's just some straight up dumba$$ right there.

And couldn't someone have just shot Falcone once the guns started blazing?

Adorkification Moment:
The Batcave. Duh!
I was genuinly surprised when it opened. I've spent so much time thinking about the villains and Gordon and Gotham in general that I forgot about the cave. Maybe part of it was because I assumed Bruce would find it later,
like in the movies,
but making the cave part of Thomas' life was a great twist.
What made it even better was when Bruce pushed the button.
When the music started, Bruce's face just fell. That alone was funny. But at the same time, he dropped his arm ('cause he was holding it above his head when he pushed the button) and that single action just emphasized his defeat.
And tears were falling...until the door opened. Then I was all
HOLY S#!T!!!
