First of all, I hope everyone had a safe and happy Memorial Day Weekend!
(The "weekend" lasted three days, so the latest and greatest numbers weren't tallied until this morning.)
Now onto some stats...
Here in the States, A:AoU made another $21.6 million which brings the Domestic total to just under $411 million. This is roughly two-thirds of the Domestic total for Marvel's The Avengers ($623.35 million).
As for the Foreign total, it's at $770.5 million right now (which is only about $124.7 million away from The Avengers' total Foreign gross).
So what does this all mean?
It means the total gross worldwide for A:AoU stands at a little over $1.181 billion after 34 days in theaters,
while Marvel's The Avengers took in the legendary $1.518 billion after 163 days in theaters.
In other words, to beat its predecessor, Ultron has 129 days to make another $337 million worldwide.
Holy. Hell. Batman.
