First Impressions - Marvel: 75 Years, From Pulp to Pop

I settled down to watch this week's episode of AoS when I learned there wasn't one.
That's okay, I told myself. It was only a matter of time before they took a break.
What they aired instead was this - a show about Marvel's history as a company.
So I settled down...and got a headache.
Spoilers after the jump.
You've been warned...

Marvel: 75 Years, From Pulp to Pop

The Good: I was impressed by the number of creators they had. Jim Shooter? Todd McFarlane? Jim Starlin? Even Jack Kirby's son (though technically not a creator)? Cool!
* Kevin Smith talking about comics, and not talking about Kevin Smith writing comics.
* Glossing over the 1990's.
* Mentioning the Fantastic Four, Spider-Man and the X-Men at all.
* Clark Gregg talking about the direction they're starting to go in this season on AoS.

The Bad: I was shocked to see how old many of these creators were.
* Having Taylor Swift Emily VanCamp narrate. Hayley Atwell would have been better, and would have made more sense since they even threw in the Agent Carter teaser.
* Disney owns Marvel? Really? I had things to do during the commercial breaks, so I wasn't sure.
* Didn't they already air most of this in Assembling a Universe?
* Jeff Loeb made a point that when a hero rises from his lowest is when he truly becomes a hero, and he's not wrong. However, waiting more than two years for any movie character to actually start rising? Yeah, that's not so great.
* Not being able to see the direction they're starting to go in this season on AoS.
* Kevin Smith mentioning the name Rob Liefeld. At all.

The WTF?: Kevin Smith mentioning Liefeld as one of the "great artists" at Marvel.

Adorkification Moment: Seeing Denny O'Neil and Len Wein...some of DC's finest...talk positively about Marvel. I'd like to think that with the creators, it's about the characters, history and just doing the job. There aren't any "politics" or lines drawn between companies. In fact, they actually said the name Superman - even though they couldn't show a damn picture of Superman because...lawyers.
