The answer is yes, you can..

...You can play against an 80 cars deck with a 60 card deck - and win.

So to catch everyone up:

My wife, Mrs. Adorkification, has gone "balls out" and added Blue to her Green Deck. She couldn't decide what to cut, so she asked if all three of us (including Adorkette) could play with 80 card decks.

I tried it, but found 80 cards too unwieldy (if that's even a word) to play effectively, so I cut back to a respectable 60 cards - mostly goblin - red deck.

But then she threw a curve ball...

While the three of us were out last weekend for some last minute back-to-school shopping, Mrs. Adorkification saw something she thought I might like:

A 285 card Deck Builder Set!!!

It had booster packs from Dark Ascension, Innistrad and Avacyn Restored, plus a ridiculous amount of land, plus all kinds of cards none of us have seen before.

Needless to say, we bought it, took it home, tore it apart and essentially re-built all our decks from scratch.

I'm still at 60 cards, Mrs. A is still at 80, and Adorkette is too busy with schoolwork at the moment to play, but hopefully all of us can play over the weekend. 

We're gonna need a place to put all this stuff...
