First Impressions - Arrow: "Suicidal Tendencies"

This is by no means a deeply intense dissection of the episode.
It's just my quick comments and notes after seeing the episode only once (a la AoS).
Spoilers after the jump.
You've been warned...

Season 3 Episode 17: "Suicidal Tendencies"
The Good:
Deadshot is one of the coolest villains on television.
Making the sacrifice play to save not just the hostages but the rest of the team? Including Diggle? AWESOME! Oh - and he's not dead. Not even a little bit.
Plus, we got us some backstory!
I hope we get to see what happened to his daughter at some point...maybe season 5?

I'm also liking Suicide Squad in general. They always struck me as a cross between The A-Team and The Dirty Dozen - which I'm sure is how the idea was initially pitched - and the rotating roster just adds points.

I also liked how Cupid's infatuation shifted from Arrow to Deadshot.
Love can be fickle, crazy love even more so...

The Bad:
Diggle getting married (again).
I understand why the powers that be decided to have him and Lyla remarry, but was it necessary?
Lyla's a badass, and she's a mother...which makes her even more so.
It's clear that she loves Diggle and they have a life together. But being a fighter who's working for A.R.G.U.S. puts her squarely in a big moral gray while constantly surrounded by danger, and now has even more to lose. They touched on that in the episode, but a character like her getting married tells me she's either going to get out of the game (which Waller would let happen for a second) or she's gonna die. And that's what I kept thinking through the episode - Lyla was gonna get killed.
I'm really glad she didn't.
'Cause now I want the episode where Diggle's in Nanda Parbat and Lyla's off somewhere leading another Squad when Sara is taken. Lyla learns about Sara, disobeys a direct order - from Waller - and uses her Squad to get her daughter back.
That would be some seriously cool s#!t right there.

Shoot Felicity? Oh. No. You. DON'T!

The WTF?:
Yeah Ollie, just walk away and leave electrocuted Roy behind
Dumbass.

Ray a minister? The hell?

Adorkification Moment:
Channel 52!

"The Atom!"

"Delta Charlie"!

"X-Ray vision"? Good one Felicity!
