First Impressions - Arrow: 'The Calm'

This is by no means a deeply intense dissection of the episode.
It's just my quick comments and notes after seeing the episode only once (a la AoS).
Spoilers after the jump.
You've been warned...

Season 3 Episode 1: 'The Calm'
The Good: The change in the arrowhead in the opening. Have they always changed that from season to season?
* Roy's look. I didn't catch him called anything other than Roy, so I have no idea whether he's Arsenal, Red Arrow or Speedy...but the costume works.
* Diggle as a father. Actually, seeing both of these tough military-types going through parenthood. Comparing pregnancy to a tank = funny awesomeness.
* Peter Stormare. First he was on The Blacklist, now he's here. Damn that guy is busy.
* Count Vertigo as a title/position rather than a single person also worked.
* Felicity wasn't killed off after failing to "get it on" with Oliver.
* They managed to work Barry into the script!
* And hey...Black Canary's back!

The Bad: I didn't like Oliver dating Felicity. Her fantasizing about him was funny, but having them try a relationship wasn't. My only hope is that they move past it quickly, because Team Queen would be lost without her.
* The flashback stuff. So Oliver was in Hong Kong five years ago from now? As in the third season? So we're talking his third year presumed dead?
* I didn't get the feeling when we first met Amanda Waller that Oliver knew her already. Was that a goof or did I miss something?
* Did Waller admit that she was responsible for Oliver surviving the Queen's Gambit sinking? Did we ever find out why or how the ship went down?

The WTF?: Wait - Sara shows up, does her usual Black Canary ass-kicking...and is taken out by three arrows (which she could have easily dodged/deflected) and a fall (that would not have happened if she dodged/deflected the arrows) by someone she recognized (which is why she didn't dodge/deflect the arrows in the first place)?

Adorkification Moment: Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer. It's good to see Routh back in the DC fold, and the fact that the 6' 3" tall Routh is playing DC's Henry Pym is just awesomeness in a box. I seem to recall a mention of Ray and Jean from Season One, but it looks here like Oliver never met Ray before. That reference could have been for another Ray and Jean I suppose...
