Okay Pepe...did Guardians move up in the Marvel Studios Standings?
Why yes...yes it did.
With $653.8 million in the bank worldwide, GotG is now in fourth place while
has moved to fifth.
Another worthy note is that of the top 5 films, Guardians is the only non-sequel.
Well, I think we can all agree that even though there isn't a number in the title, this is a sequel.
As for third place,
CA: TWS has made $714.1 million worldwide.
This means that GotG has to make another $60.4 million to move up another notch.
Now, Guardians has been out for roughly nine and a half weeks.
CA: TWS ran for twenty.
So the questions are: 1) Can Guardians last in theaters another 10+ weeks?
and 2) Can it make roughly $6 million per worldwide?
Maybe.
But I'm perfectly happy no matter where GotG lands at the end of it's run.
'Cause it's having one hell of a run.
