Monday Movie Roundup...1/6/2014

It's early...Inventory Morning at work...so bear with me...
The Hobbit: TDoS made an additional $16.2 million, bringing the worldwide total to $756.6 million.
(I was sooo ready for Sir Ian to introduce himself to Thorin Oakenshield as "Dumbledore"...)
The Wolf of Wall Street, DiCaprio's latest attempt at an Oscar release made just short of $63.3 million.
I only mention this film because eventually someone in Hollywood will wise up
and cast him in the Orson Wells biopic.
47 Ronin picked up another $5 million, which isn't bad.
The film's worldwide total of $83.9 million versus it's budget of $175 million...not so much.
Thor: TDW made a whopping $490,000 over the weekend,
making it's worldwide total more than $630.4 million.
Good on ya mate!
And finally, to everyone's surprise...
The Invisible Woman made a whopping $30,200 this weekend,
making it's total (Domestic) gross $116,800.
Hey FOX...sell back the rights and be done with it.
I know what you're thinking...
'What about that film with Nolan Batman, Rocket Raccoon, Lois Lane, Hawkeye and Mystique?'
Well...it takes place in the seventies...
Do we really care about any film set in the seventies?
Okay, fine...
It's made more than $90.6 million so far worldwide, well over the $40 million budget.
On a side note - only $1.9 million of that is from the foreign market,
so I'm not the only person in the world who thinks the seventies should stay there.
But it is good to see Renner working again.
Happy Monday everyone!
