First Impressions - Harry Potter Deathly Hallows Part 2

Going with the "utter frustration due to lack of understanding/satisfaction" theme, I present the final conclusion to the ongoing saga that is Harry Potter...

I got the premise...

Good...

Bad...

and
both...
Allies...

But what killed it for me was Voldemort's death.

Two words: Anti. Climatic.

The main characters have been hiding and fighting and dying for seven books and eight movies.

I wanted to see Voldemort's body ripped into little pieces while his head shot off into the distance screaming in intense agony and defeat.

Denied.

How about Bellatrix Lestrange's body being slowly dissolved into a puddle of mud?

No.

Sigh...why do we have to deal with many...many...sequels about a Big Bad Coming only to be given a cheap ending?

The Death Star exploding...
Hans Gruber falling to his death...
Jabba's tongue hanging out...
Johnny Lawrence losing to the Crane Technique...
Biff getting knocked out by George McFly...
Kal-El crushing Zod's hand...
Bill falling down after the Five point Palm Exploding Heart...

These are what I call satisfying defeats of the bad guys...

Try it sometime Rowling, Martin and anyone else willing to follow in their footsteps.

It doesn't have to be about the villain dying in the first film or the hero dying in the first act, just that when the time comes for audiences to cheer...let...them...cheer!
