Unless they give Peter Dinklage a costume, this guy will have to be CGI.
Will a complete CGI character work?
True, Hulk was CGI, the Chitauri were CGI, even Iron Man was CGI at times...
...but Bruce Banner and Tony Stark weren't, and the Chitauri didn't appear until the last 30+ minutes of the film.
RR will be interacting with the rest of the team. His battle scenes would be intercut with those of other characters, but there will be times when he's just standing around talking with Adam Warlock, Charlie-27 or whoever the hell else they have in the group.
