Meet Brittany Wenger, a seventeen year old from Florida who happened to win the 2012 Google Science Fair for creating a neural network that can diagnose breast cancer with over 99% accuracy!!!
There's been a stigma for far too long about women entering the various fields of science and mathematics (among other things). Girls/Women can do every single thing boys/men can do.
Don't believe me? Just look at the American Summer Olympic athletes for this year. More women than men for the first time in history.
Having a daughter has really opened my eyes about this, and hopefully Ms. Wenger will inspire more young women to do what they want...not what others think they want.
