I've always loved Gaiman's Sandman series (except for The Kindly Ones, and The Wake because I refuse to accept how it ended). The characters he created have stayed in pop culture longer than in the DCU - seriously, has Death been seen anywhere recently besides cosplayed at conventions? - plus, he brought back characters from DC's horror-centric past (granted, Cain and Abel were in Swamp Thing first).
Well...he's at it again:
Gaiman says it will be a prequel to Sandman #1, explaining how Morpheus was captured and the circumstances surrounding his return.
Don't know when it's coming out, or how many issues it will be, but I'll buy it.
Hay Gaiman - any thoughts about bringing Morpheus back?
