Morning Pepe! Let's talk Ant-Man!
Well, it made #1 again over the weekend, beating out Pixels and Minions with an additional $24.7 million in the States.
It's at $226.4 million worldwide, meaning it's...
...only $36.9 million away from putting The Incredible Hulk back at the bottom of the MCU pile.
...Paul Rudd's second top grossing film ($155 million away from Monsters Vs. Aliens).
...Michael Douglas' third top grossing film (behind Fatal Attraction and Basic Instinct).
...still Evangeline Lilly's fourth top grossing film (but within sight of Real Steel's #299.3 million).
...made a $96.4 million profit - so far.
Thumbs up indeed.
As for Marvel Studios' other recent release, it hasn't been doing too well.
I wasn't aware that Jean Grey's solo film made its debut in Germany.
It's made a whopping $28,000 so far, but it's in German. With subtitles. So...yeah.
As for that other one,
it's at $1.395 billion, and might make it to $1.4 before leaving theaters. I know they had Avengers playing through Labor Day, but I don't see that happening here. I'm okay with that - 'cause it'll hit the shelves that much sooner.
Have a good week all!
