It's that time of year again...

That's right, the Madisons...
Here are the ones that really matter -

ACHIEVEMENT IN MAKEUP AND HAIRSTYLING:
* Guardians of the Galaxy - Elizabeth Yianni Georgiou and David White

ACHIEVEMENT IN VISUAL EFFECTS:
* Captain America: The Winter Soldier - Dan Deleeuw, Russell Earl, Bryan Grill and Dan Sudick.
Guardians of the Galaxy - Stephanie Ceretti, Nicolas Aithadi, Jonathan Fawkner and Paul Corbould.
* X-Men: Days of Future Past - Richard Stammers, Lou Pecora, Tim Crosbie and Cameron Waldbauer.

It was nice to see Dr. Strange, Rocket and a Batman up for Best Actor, two Bruce Banners and the one and only J.Jonah Jameson up for Supporting Actor, Talia al Ghul up for Best Actress and Gwen Stacy up for Supporting Actress.
Think about that for a minute...Marvel Studios has a 60% chance of winning Visual Effects, a 33.3% chance of winning Makeup and Hairstyling, and has connections with 30% of the performers up for awards. In fact, Marvel and DC combined have connections with 40% of the performers up for awards. That's pretty impressive, but nothing for Chris Pratt? GotG and CA: TWS didn't get best picture nods?
They need to come up with some new categories, like "Most Badass Soundtrack", "Least Boring Plot", or even "Best Screenplay Adapted from Graphic Novels". Bastards.
