Hope you all had a safe weekend!
Transformers: Age of Extinction was the top movie of the weekend...again...
(sigh) I hear ya Jean-Luc, I hear ya.
It made another $36.4 million in the states, putting the worldwide total so far at $575.6 million.
It's still the fourth top grossing Transformers film (out of five) of all time,
but the movie currently at #3 (Transformers (2007)) is leading by less than $135 million.
In other words, come July 14th, T:AoE will most likely take that spot.
Not only that, but Michael Bay is now competing with himself among the top four films. This makes me angry.
Okay...maybe not that angry...
X-M: DoFP made another $1.8 million, and is now at $724.7 million worldwide.
CA: TWS made another $338 thousand and is at $$711.8 million worldwide.
Godzilla (2014) another $418 thousand, and is just shy of $489 million worldwide.
and Snowpiercer, which I think will do better in the coming weeks, made $999 thousand this weekend.
It's at $81.7 million worldwide right now.
Wanna guess how much of that is from the Foreign market?
Try $80 million.
What is it with Chris Evans movies killing it overseas?
Have a good week everyone!
