...Season Three.
I bought this for a couple of reasons:
* This is one of the few shows Mrs. Adorkification has said to me: "This is a show I wouldn't mind owning." And yes, Firefly was another. Apparently Breaking Bad and Dexter didn't make the cut.
* Best Buy had the Blu-ray/DVD combo shown above for only $29.99! I'd be stupid not to pick it up.
* There's a lot of great extras (and I'm all about the extras), for people who've never seen an episode...like me.
Now before you get all judgmental on me, remember this: I started reading comics back when they were printed on paper and released once a month to places that have never even heard of a "comic book shop"...which sold back issues.
There's been many a time where I've picked up an issue of a title in the middle of a story, and then figured out what I'd missed as I read the thing. It happened.
Ever hear the phrase "jumping on point"? That came from comics. It means a particular issue was a recommended place for newbies to start collecting reading without needing any knowledge of "what has gone before".
Having decades years of experience learning things as I went, I figured S3 was as good a place as any to start.
Watching the extras first, I've learned a lot. But I'm only ten minutes into the first episode...
...hey, I never said it was gonna be easy...
