Monday Movie Roundup...9/9/2013

Well, it come as no surprise that Riddick gained the top spot over the weekend...only because so few other films were released.
I've never seen any Riddick films...not even Pitch Black...although Mrs. Adorkification thought it was good.
What I want to talk about right now is Thor: The Dark World...
First - this is a much better poster than that p.o.s. they put up last week.
Second - let's look at the cast/credits:
We've got the 'regular' cast back - Chris, Natalie, Tom, Kat, Idris, Anthony, Ray, Jaimie, Stellan, Rene and Tadanobu.

We've also got Zachary Levi (of Chuck fame) taking over the role of Fandral.

This is more of a HUH? than a WTF?, but still...HUH?

Christopher Eccleston (the Ninth Doctor) is Malekith. This we have known.

Another villain showing up is Kurse, a Dark Elf follower of Malekith played by Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. All I know of Kurse is that he's a bid bad tough guy that's hard to beat in Marvel Ultimate Alliance on my PS2, and he wears armor in the comics. Will we see Algrim become Kurse? How will that happen? Will Kurse be CGI and Akinnuoye-Agbaje provide the voice?

Then there's The Collector, played by Benicio Del Toro (aka Jackie Boy from Sin City).
Here's a pic of Del Toto:
Here's The Collector:
I'm not seeing it. CGI or Make-up? Will he be an Elder of the Universe in possession of a 'Soul Gem'?

Then there's Tyr - played by Clive Russel. Tyr had his hand bitten off by the wolf-god Fenris. Is that happening in the film? Or did that happen some time ago?

According to IMDB, there's also a Marauder...and some guy named Richard.

This "Richard" is played by Chris O'Dowd (from The IT Crowd), and I'm gonna be watching this guy.
1) He's mentioned higher up in the credits than most of the cast - including Rene, Zachary, Ray, Jaimie and Christopher. He's cast right after Anthony freakin' Hopkins! That should tell us something.

And where the hell in the Enchantress? If we're going to see Jane Foster wander around Asgard and interacting with Sif and Frigga, Amora's gotta be there somewhere. Maybe in the same prison where Thor talks to Loki?

So many questions...and November's so far away...
