I know there's little/no hope for a fourth film, but I can't understand why.
Granted, looking at the "James Bond Method", Goldfinger was the third film in the franchise...arguably the best Bond film of the series...
but if they stopped there, we wouldn't have Live and Let Die, Goldeneye, or Skyfall, and there wouldn't be arguments over who played the best bond.
Most importantly, the series wouldn't have lasted 40 years.
Now - the argument can be made that by looking at the entire MMU, you'd have your Bond-like franchise, and wouldn't need to have an IM4. I'd agree with that, but what I'm saying is that we shouldn't write off the possibility of an IM4 down the road...in like five to ten years from now...where we're introduced to another actor in the role, ready for another IM trilogy.
Just sayin'
