And that's my point.
Spoilers are gossip. They're news. They're the "latest and greatest".
But they spoil.
My first experience with spoilers was waaay back in 1980, when everyone was talking about Darth Vader being Luke's father. (If that was a spoiler for you, the film came out 32 years ago so it doesn't count.)
It's less of a big deal nowadays, because everyone gives their fair warnings/alerts/jump cuts...etc...so we - the readers - have more control over what we want to be spoiled by.
Which is fine.
I'd rather speculate and discuss how Rocket Raccoon will be introduced to the MMU than reveal that he's going to be a bisexual cannibal that blows Thanos' head clean off in the middle of the second act of Avengers 2 anyways...
