Happy Labor Day everyone!
Guardians of the Galaxy made news again by being #1 (again) at the U.S. box office this weekend.
But what does that really mean? It made $16.3 million in the States, bringing the domestic total to $274.6 million. Worldwide, GotG is at $547.7 million.
Sticking with worldwide numbers, Guardians is still in seventh place among Marvel Studios movies - stuck between Thor (#8) and Iron Man (#6).
But here's the kicker...
Guardians is only $37.5 million away from Iron Man, and has only been out five weeks. That's cool!
Frank Miller's Sin City: ADtKF, however, is still struggling.
The Good - it's made $15.4 million total worldwide after two weeks...considerably more than Barb Wire's complete run.
The Bad - it's not even close to the $74.1 million Frank Miller's Sin City made back in 2005. In fact, aside from Barb Wire, it's at the bottom of the Dark Horse Comics Movie Adaptation list (for now).
But it shows promise.
'Cause even if the film doesn't perform "well enough" in theaters, I'm sure it will make more than it's money back with the Blu-ray/DVD release.
Enjoy the week everyone!
