X-O Manowar Part 27: X-O Manowar #12 (January, 1993)

The Good-Skin’s history is revealed.

I have this issue.

Aric is taken to the moon by the Good-Skin as it explains to him that it reproduces every two thousand years…and it’s growing a new seed. His dreams were messages from the armor, which in turn was getting a signal from the Moon by the sole remaining Spider-Alien base that’s hidden there. They know about the seed and want to claim it.

Aric arrives at the base and learns that it’s populated by fifty-six thousand Spider-Aliens and Rexo, a human cyborg working with them. Aric defeats Rexo easily and escapes only to be attacked by Spider-Aliens in X-O Commando Class armor. They manage to “net” Aric in an energy dampening field and drag him back towards the Moon.

Notes of Interest:

1) Aric learns that the Good-Skin is a living being named Shanhara.

2) It appears Aric makes good on his threats…literally.

3) This is the first time Aric encounters X-O Commando Class armor.

WTF? Moment: I find it fun that Aric and the armor argue at times despite all they’ve been through together.
