WTF? Fridays...Waiting for Gadot...12/6/2013

So...there's been a lot of talk about the Man of Steel sequel lately...
...can't imagine why...
...could Snyder's casting Wonder Woman have something to do with it?
What surprises me isn't the casting choice, it's everyone's reacting to it.
W...T...F...PEOPLE?
This is getting a more divided reaction that Bat-fleck.
Much of it has to do with Wonder Woman appearing in a movie for the first time,
and fans are getting really verbal about it.
Here's my take...
1) In pictures, she does look like Diana. I see it just as much as I see Cavill's Clark and Affleck's Bruce.
2) There's been a lot of chatter about Gadot's physique.
Well, Lynda Carter never exactly looked like she could deadlift a semi either.
And from what I've learned, Gadot was in the Israeli Military for two years and either is, or has been, a physical trainer.
3) People have commented that the way DC/WB are going about building their movie universe is wrong.
It has to be different, because let's face it - Marvel did it right - but whether DC/WB's take is "right or wrong" remains to be seen...since there's only been one film so far. For all we know, WW's appearance may be nothing more than a cameo (like Evans in Thor: TDW) or possibly an end-credit scene (like del Toro in Thor:TDW).
4) Then there's the argument that Snyder's going to f**k this up like he did Watchmen and that Man of Steel wasn't "good enough". I've mentioned before that I bought the MoS Blu-ray. I've seen it several times, and the first hour was fantastic. Everything from Krypton to the Arctic to saving Lios to getting the suit was a win. It was the second hour-plus that lost me, and that's got more to do with the script and plot than the directing.
Personally, I'm more upset that Marvel/Disney's going with Guardians of the Galaxy before Ant-Man and that other GotG thing:
So let's all just calm-the-f**k-down and wait until 2015 before passing judgement.
