Robin III Part 66: Penguin Triumphant (1992)

Tim spends more time in the Cave...again…
I have this issue.
Tim learns about Penguin’s reforming in the paper as Bruce explains that Oswald Cobblepot is one of the smartest foes he’s ever faced.
It turns out that Penguin is making a fortune manipulating the stock market, and Tim finds the trap door used to gain access. Unfortunately, he can’t figure out the password…until Alfred tells him Cobblepot’s favorite book: The collected works of A. J. Raffles by E. W. Hornung. The password works, but as Tim gains access Bruce tells him that Penguin turned state’s evidence against his broker Randal Holmes for a reduced sentence. Bruce deduces that there may be a second trap door into the system for after Holmes is arrested, and Tim finds it – and needs another password. Alfred mentions another character from Hornung’s works, and Tim uses that to open the second trap door.
Suddenly, there’s a break-in at Wayne Manor, and Tim is told to stay in the Cave while Bruce puts an end to Penguin.
Notes of Interest:
1) Nothing new here, just more Cave time in front of the computer.
2) I put this story here because Tim isn’t disrupted when Penguin moves into Wayne Manor, so he must be living next door with his father. Plus, Alfred’s comment when Bruce mentions his obsession and how Batman is supposed to appear more violent and crazy than Bruce actually is makes sense.
WTF? Moment: Why does this issue exist? I mean yeah, it’s great for Penguin, but for Tim? Not so much.
