There's an article over at io9 that talks about a recent investigation into Fredric Wertham, M.D.'s notes and interviews he had while putting Seduction together. It was done by University of Illinois Information Studies Professor Carol Tilley...
...and proves that the book is based on misinformation Wertham either manipulated, or outright made up.
I can't say I'm surprised by the news, just that it took this long for anyone to figure it out.
There's no question that this book changed comics forever, but the debate over what comics would have been like if this book never existed can now begin.
Like that?
That's the "newly released first image" from X-Men: Days of Future Past...
I'm gonna just throw this out there - the one on the right will be the alternate timeline version.
'Course, it'll have to be "mucked up" a bit...that timeline's downright dirty.
See, this right here disturbs me.
I get it. Rocket's on the team.
He's in the movie.
Now there's an action figure...
...of a raccoon in a suit...
...an angry one at that.
W...T...F...?
On a side note - Adorkette's having her birthday party this weekend. Yeah, she was born in December, but with the holidays and everything there wasn't time to host it until now. She's having three of her friends over for the weekend, starting tonight.
Needless to say, I'll be hiding out in the basement until Sunday afternoon.
I might not even come out for sunlight and food (well, maybe food).
I'll be back Monday after the dust has settled and the bathroom becomes available again.
Happy weekend everyone!
