* We see Tony developing the "modular" armor. Since he had a complete suit follow him out the window in Avengers, it makes sense that his next upgrade would involve separate pieces that can come to him on demand.
* We also see him dragging pieces of the suit on a makeshift sled in the snow, making a very important point - when he's not wearing it, or when it's in complete shambles, the armor is nothing more than a big f**king paperweight. I think this is what drives Tony do go to China and develop the Extremis armor.
* In every Iron Man film to date...as well as Avengers...the movie ends with Tony donning the 'latest and greatest' in battle. My guess is that the Extremis suit will show up in the final battle against Mandarin.
I'm still working on who makes a cameo, what happens with Happy and Pepper, and why War Machine looks like a Captain America Transformer...
