Okay - Someone's gonna hafta explain this...

Marvel Alliance PVP sucks...a$$...

Let me see if I got this:

First, it only opens up occasionally when there's a prize to be won - right now it's a playable Punisher.

To win Punisher, you have to play a certain number of fights (100), and have a specific win ratio from those fight (.5%).

Now I know I have no chance of getting that high a win percentage, but playing the PVP allows you to gain XP from your fights - win or lose - and time goes by in the regular game so you can generate enough energy to continue playing there.

They also allow you 5 fights per day where you gain extra XP when you win.

Seems pretty simple, right?

Here's the crappy part...
* You have absolutely no control over who you fight. Nine times out of ten it's an opponent at a higher level.
* You have absolutely no control over which of your opponents heroes you fight.
* You have absolutely no access to any of your items. No healing packs, no stamina packs, no optional grenade-type weapons to throw, no shields. Nothing.
* The only thing you can control is which of your heroes to fight with, which is done before you learn who you're facing and which of their heroes.

Now, all of this makes sense on some level. There is the randomness to the player you're up against, and which heroes, but would I go into a fight with Black Cat and Nightcrawler if I knew I was facing Hulk and She-Hulk?

The idea of PVP is that you're playing against another player in the game...but you're not. You're playing a computer controlled version of another player in the game. That means that when you add Iron Man to your team, you almost always face She-Hulk. When you add Nightcrawler to your team, you usually face Iron Man.

What's worse is that the damage is one-sided. For Instance, when my Iron Man puts up his force field, their Iron Fist decimates it in one turn. When my Iron Fist goes against their Iron Man's force field, it takes the damage and lasts another turn.

It's almost comical the way the game systematically destroys you.

Almost.
