Monday Movie Roundup...8/1/2016

Evening Pepe...
I know...I know...

ID:R made a whopping $203,779 in the U.S. over the weekend. It's now at over $372.7 million worldwide, so it more than made its money back, but is still less than half of what Independence Day made. However...
...ID:R is Jeff Goldblum's fourth top grossing film worldwide. Independence Day is his second, and Jurassic Park (at $983.8 million) is his top grossing movie...
...for now.

Finding Dory made another $4.3 million, and is at $831 million worldwide. That puts it roughly $26 million behind Inside Out, and $232 million behind Pixar's #1 film: Toy Story 3.

Ghostbusters (2016) brought in over $10 million this weekend, making the worldwide total over $158.2 million. So it definitely made its money back. But it's still $57.2 million behind Ghostbusters 2.

Star Trek...sorry -
Star Trek Beyond had a good weekend. It made $24.7 million in the States and is now at $161.3 million worldwide. That makes it the third top grossing film in the franchise, but it's also the third top grossing film of the rebooted franchise.

That's all I got today Pepe. I'm off to bed.
Have a good week!
