AoS v. Gotham - (WTF? Friday...9/18/2015)

Seeing as how Gotham is starting up again Monday, I went through my Hulu queue of all the commercials and exclusives that have come out...
...and holy HELL was it cool.
I had forgotten how Gotham did SUCH a good job setting things up throughout Season 1:
Barbara's relationships - not just with Jim, but with Cat, Montoya and of course her parents...
Butch's conflicting loyalties between Penguin and Fish...
and these are just secondary characters!
There's Cat being influenced by Barbara and Fish...
Jim's rise and fall and re-rise within the GCPD...
 THIS f**king guy...
Commissioner Loeb's affect on Gordon (in more ways than one)...
Penguin finding his place in the world...
 Nygma losing his s#!t...
Alfred being such a BADASS...
Bruce learning about his family, and coming into his own...
Then you have the cameos - Red Hood, Zsasz, Dick's parents, Scarecrow, Scarecrow's dad, Ivy, Lucius Fox, Leslie...Venom for God's sake.
I'm going deaf from all the awesome!

What did Season 2 of AoS give us?
 Barbara Morse...
Cal Hyde...
and Carl Creel.
All of whom were cool to see, but no mention AT ALL of Mockingbird, Mr. Hyde or Absorbing Man. 'Cause God forbid these characters use recognizable names.
  Glenn Talbot...which was cool,
Lance Hunter (who I've never seen in the books)...
and Attilan (sort of...).
Raina as...something,
Skye's mom, who ends up being just another bad guy,
Skye herself, who gains power in the first episode and spends the entire season trying to cope with them before learning she's actually Daisy/Skye...
 THIS F**KING HAPPENING...
and that f**king happening.
Seriously...
W...T...F...?
I get the "slow burn". I get the "season-long arc". I even get the fact that not every character that shows up on AoS has to be a well-known character with a code-name...
...but Daredevil, a THIRTEEN EPISODE LONG SERIES (less than AoS Season Two), had more Marvel characters in it, had a beginning, middle and end without burning any sequel bridges, had more name dropping, more easter-eggs, and more connections to everything else going on in the MCU than AoS.
(sigh...)
Yes - Daredevil only had 13 episodes to it, so they had to keep things 'tight'. Yes - AoS is a network show, while Daredevil is on Netflix, which has fewer (or at least less restricting) guidelines. But would it kill anyone in the Whedon-verse to use recognizable characters to discuss events that took place in order to push the plot...any plot...you can pick the plot...to an actual conclusion?
I've got $5 that says May will have a one-line conversation with Coulson about that "incident in Hell's Kitchen" within three minutes of Episode 1 before spending the rest of the damn season figuring out how to keep Daisy/Skye's powers in check while trying to track down Ward...AGAIN!
I wouldn't be so pissed if I wasn't such a fan...
