Puck is caught inside Shaman’s Medicine Bag…along with
everyone and everything…that got
caught in the nuclear blast.
I have this issue.
Judd finds himself, Crimson Dynamo, Quasar, Madison
Jefferies, Perun, Orka, Diamond Lil, Tyrak and at least one civilian treading
water in a purple ocean with a black sky overhead. They see a vision of
Fantasma, who tells them that everyone is inside Shaman’s mystic pouch, trapped
among several dimensional planes. Their only hope is to find a nexus that connects all of the dimensions, use it to regroup, and leave the
pouch. Judd’s group meets up with the others, but as the first batch of
civilians return to reality, they are killed by the radiation they bring back
with them. Still trapped inside Shaman’s pouch, Judd and the others meet The
Combine - a single entity combining two of the terrorists - who plans to help
them return to reality knowing the radiation will poison Earth.
Notes of Interest:
1) Judd doesn’t say or do much this issue other than ask
where he is and tread water.
WTF? Moment: As I
recall from Alpha Flight #39, Judd
can’t swim…which is interesting since he spends a lot of time in water-related
stories. He doesn’t seem to be doing much better here, but he does seem to
tread water effectively enough.
