Welp, survived another Christmas...and New Year's...and Inventory...

...yay?

Happy 2015!

It's coming...

2014...good riddance!

2014 kicked my ass.

Some good things happened...but they had a bitter aftertaste:

After a season and a half, we finally learn Skye's secret past...only to have it gone for eight-plus weeks.

Then the whole HYDRA thing...

...oh for F**K'S SAKE!!!

Flash was cool, along with the team-up episodes...

...with a show that kills it's main character!!!

Then there's the show that's getting better...but it's future is up in the air.

Gotham's been consistently good, but ended the year with a whimper.

 GotG was extremely good...but has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE OTHER MOVIES!

LIKE AT ALL!!!

(sigh)

Then Colbert left...

...and this happened - 

which made the whole world a little sadder.

I know, I know...

I just want to end this "down-ending" of a year with quiet anticipation of things to come...

Don't think I haven't forgotten...

but, again, "down endings..."

New Years Resolutions...2014

Having been sick over the holidays...

and somewhat sickish again right now...

I've decided what one of my resolutions must be:

Not taking things so seriously.

I'm getting to that age where things I did twenty ten years ago hurt now.

Like shoveling the whole driveway in one shot

and making major moves around the store where I work.

I need to slow down, pace myself better, and look for help more often.

That last part bothers me the most...maybe it's a guy thing.

Plus, I tend to get bogged down with the "to-do" list,

overwhelming myself instead of just breaking things down to smaller steps.

So that's one of my plans for the year.

I hope you all had (and have) a safe New Year's Day!

New Year's Eve, 2013...

Well - It's been a year.

We've had ups...

...downs...

...and stuff scratching our heads asking WTF?...

...but in the end, I think 2013's been good to us.

As for 2014, it will be a year of changes.

Adorkette will be in high school...

...the MMU will have two more chapters...

...and maybe an improvement?

 And a time warp...

(for the record, I think it should go Xavier/Magneto/Logan, but what do I know?)

New Year's Resolutions are going to come trickling in throughout the next few weeks here at Adorkification as I try to recoup from the onslaught of retail insanity.

Inventory (the annual event where every item in the store...and it's price...is counted) is next week, and after that things slow down to their regularly scheduled craziness.

For today, I'll simply state my first Resolution...

...to work hard at being more of a dork - and less of a jerk - to family and friends.

I've been given a lot of stress recently, and since that stress refuses to let up anytime soon I need to work at accepting it rather than fighting it.

So...Happy New Year's to all (even those whose New Year falls elsewhere on the calendar) and enjoy the day.
