Rogue One: A Star Wars Story - A theory

Okay, Pepe...follow me through on this one:

My understanding is that this film takes place prior to Star Wars,

(episode, blah, blah, New Hope, blah, blah...it's Star Wars dammit!)

If that's true, then the main character...whatever her name is...will be killed off in the third Rogue One film. Which will no doubt take place before Return of the Jedi.

If for no other reason than to explain Mon Mothma's dramatic scene, which irked me since I was eleven and saw Jedi for the first time. In. The. Theater.
