Effin' internet...

Adorkette is home today due to Intersessions at her school...

...I know, don't ask...

...and she's working on school stuff, until the internet stops working.

When Mrs. Adorkification and I ask what's going on, Adorkette tells us she's downloading something.

What's she downloading? "Something called Adobe Premiere..."

 Yeah - that's gonna take awhile...

Technical Difficulties (Again...)

So remember the storm I was telling you about? After it ended, our internet connection "broke".

We thought it was due to the weather, but after 24 hours without it, I decided to give TWC a call.

Turns out it wasn't the weather, it was our modem.

Our seven-and-a-half year old modem.

So I drive into town (through another storm) to pick up a new one and get home in time to connect things up before going to work.

Only it doesn't work.

So another call is made, and a tech is sent to see us sometime in the afternoon.

Which he does.

Only he can't get the internet re-connected either.

Until he discovers the new modem...the one I drove in to get and was brand spankin' new...was defective.

So he gets one out of his truck, plugs it in, and now everything's back to normal.

Ain't technology grand?

We interrupt our regularly scheduled program...

My daughter is home from school this week on February Vacation.

What this means is, I'll have limited access to our only computer for the week.

I still plan on posting daily, but what ends up posted may not be what I intended to post.
