Comic Alphabet: Z

Zatanna...or at least I hope so, 'cause f that's Zatara, then DC's come a long way baby.
But it also could have been Zeus (Marvel), Zeus (DC), Zorro (any version really...), Zsasz, Zodiac, ZOMBIE (who's awesome, Marvel), Zzzax, Zinc (of the Metal Men, DC) or Zaladane (from the Savage Land, Marvel).

Comic Alphabet: Y

Yellowjacket? Really?
I mean granted, there aren't that many, but I would have gone with the Hank Pym Yellowjacket myself. How about Yondu? You could have had the sonic arrow with him! But you gotta have the fin. 'Cause it ain't Yondu without the fin.

Comic Alphabet: X

Uh...shouldn't he be under 'P'?
It could have been X-Ray (from the U-Foes), or X-23, or...umm...Xemnu?

Comic Alphabet: W

Just don't kick him in the balls...he'll take it personal.
I would have gone with the brown costume, it's always suited him better. Right Hugh?
Damn straight.
Then there's other characters, like Walrus...
..he's an old Spidey villain...
...what? I'm not making him up. Look him up if you don't believe me.
There's also Weather Wizard (DC), or Wizard (Marvel), Whizzer (Silver Age Marvel), Whizzer (Squadron Supreme), Watcher, Whiplash (aka Blacklash, Marvel), Wonder Man (Marvel), Wonder Man (DC), Wonder Woman (duh!), Wonder Girl (double duh!!), Wrecker (of the Wrecking Crew, Marvel), Wasp, Whirlwind (Marvel villain), Will o' the Wisp (another Spidey villain), Wendigo, Werewolf, and Wolfsbane (of the New Mutants).

Comic Alphabet: V

See - I would have gone with Vision...
But yeah, there's Venom, Vulture, Viper (Marvel), the other Viper (a woman who dressed in green a lot - also from Marvel), Vishnu (referenced by Doctor Strange, although I've never seen the character), Vapor (of the U-Foes), Vector (also of the U-Foes), and Vixen (DC).

That's all I got.
Sorry...

Comic Alphabet: U

WAIT! I know this one...
Aside from Ultron, it could have been Unus the Untouchable (former partner of the Blob), and U-Man (a Nazi Atlantean...)
I'm not making that up.
And there's Ultra Boy. (Man those Legion of Super-Heroes failed ad creative code-name giving.) I'm sure there are at least 5 more characters out there, but I can't think of 'em.

Comic Alphabet: T

Oooh! Two-Face!
I would have gone with Thing, or Thor, Titania, Thundra, Tigra, Titanium Man, Trigon, Thunderstrike, Triton, The Thunderbolts, Transformers, Tarzan, Trickster, Thena (of the Eternals), Tom Thumb or The Tick.

Comic Alphabet: Q

Quicksilver! Nice!
Okay...(ahem)...there's Quill (from the Resistence - Captain America #343), Questprobe (Marvel Computer Game floppy disk...THAT'S RIGHT, I SAID FLOPPY DISK...that became a mini-series), Question (AWESOME DC character, although he was a Charlton Comics character first), and Quasimodo.
(no...really, he was in a one-shot "Special Edition" comic with Hulk!)
Nope - not gonna count him. 'Cause he's STAR-LORD!

Comic Alphabet: P

Poison Ivy...seriously, I wouldn't have picked her.
How about Porcupine? Remember that Marvel villain? From Captain America circa 1987-ish? Okay, how about Penguin, or Puck, Phantom Lady, Phantom (the classic Lee Falk creation), Purple Man, Persuasion, Punisher, Plant-Man, Plastic Man, Puppet Master, Psycho-Man, Paladin (Marvel), and of course - The Purple Pie-Man of Porcupine Peak (ta-ta-tah-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-TAH-ta-ta-tah-ta-ta-ta-ta-tah...daaah)

Comic Alphabet: O

Omega Red...Cool 90's reference!
But how about...OPTIMUS F**KING PRIME! Then there's Omega the Unknown, Orka (Marvel), Orca (DC), and uh...Oddball?

Nightcrawler! Natch!
Definitely my pick...but there's also Ninjak (Valiant), Nitro (indirect killer of Captain Mar-Vell), Nexus (Capital Comics), Nightshade (Marvel), Nightshade (DC), Nimrod (the Marvel Sentinel from Rachel Summers' alternate future timeline), Nomad, Nosferatu (a She-Hulk supporting character from the late 80's/early '90's John Byrne run), Namor, Namorita, Nova, and Northstar (Alpha Flight).

Comic Alphabet: L

Loki...hey - he's hotter than Thor!
At least that's what Adorkette tells me.
Anyway, let's see - there's Longshot (of course), and Lois Lane...but that means we'd have to include Lana Lang and Lori Lemaris. Then there's Living Laser, Lightning Lord, Lightning Lass, Lightspeed (of Power Pack fame)...and...uhh...Living Tribunal?

Comic Alphabet: K

Killer Croc.
Honestly. I would never have thought of him for K, but it looks damn good. My first thought for K was Kamandi (another DC character from the old days) but I wouldn't have the foggiest idea how to draw him. There's also Kraven the Hunter (which would have looked awesome!), Killraven (from Epic I believe), Killer Shrike (Marvel), Ka-Zar and...uhh...The Kree maybe?

Comic Alphabet: J

I think this piece is missing some tats...and teeth.
Okay, okay...
I've got Jack of Hearts (Marvel, and a really cool character by the way), Jester (also Marvel, and yeah - he's Daredevil's Joker), Jack Frost (Marvel), Jack O'Lantern, Junkyard (G. I. Joe), Jazz (Transformers), Jacosta, Jonah Hex and...uh...Jubilee. That's all I got.
Wait...does Jean-Luc count?

Comic Alphabet: I

Makes sense...Invisible Woman wouldn't have worked.
Let's see: there's Impossible Man, Ironhide (Transformers), Isis (the 1970's television character), Isis (the 52 character), the Inhumans (again - a group, but I'm counting them), Iceman, Indiana Jones (what...no? He was a Marvel character at one point.), In-Betweener and Iron Fist. I know I'll think of more throughout the day, but this is all I can come up with off the top of my head.

Comic Alphabet: H

Okay...
I understand why the artist went with Hulk, but I would have gone with someone a little less predictable - Hercules (Marvel). Now I'll admit that not everyone would know Herc as a Marvel character, but if done right it would at least remind people of Steve Reeves...
Damn.
Hawkwoman (or Hawkman) could also have worked. Along with, I dunno, HAWKEYE!?! There's also Havok, Hitman (the DC character, not the video game 'red necktie' guy), Hammerhead (the Marvel Maggia Member), Hippolyta (Wonder Woman's mother...duh!), and lets not forget HYDRA 'red shirt guy' #5, Hydro-Man, Hepzibah (of the Starjammers, and if you don't know who they are you need to read more blogs like this), Hoggoth (as in 'The Hoary Hosts of...' soon to be uttered by Mr. Cumberbatch), The Heckler (DC), Hourman (also DC), Haunted Tank (see...I know some stuff), Harbinger (from DC's classic Crisis On Infinite Earths), Harbinger (Valiant, although they're a group so I guess they wouldn't count but screw it, I'm counting them anyway 'cause they're awesome), and of course...Howard the Duck.
 NO!!!
YESSSSS!!!

Comic Alphabet: G

I have no doubt we'll be seeing Ghost Rider on a screen at some point...just (please) not Nicolas Cage.
As for other characters, I'm thinking Graviton (please for the love of GOD bring him back Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.!) Grey Gargoyle, Gorgon, Gorilla Grodd (which was awesome by the way!), Gambit (for real now, not this Tatum s#!t), Galactus (again...for real this time), Grandmaster (a Marvel Elder of the Universe like Collector), Gideon (from X-Force, back in the day), Goldbug (the Spider-Man villain), and Goldbug (formerly known as Bumblebee...a stretch I admit), Gilded Lily (from Byrne's Alpha Flight run), Gargoyle (of the New Defenders), Grimlok (a stretch again), Godzilla (from Marvel, so yes that counts), and Gonzo (from Marvel's Muppet Babies, 'cause why the hell not?)
